Growing alongside fitness entrepreneurs – How vibefam has changed over the years
Where it all began
Being an avid supporter of boutique fitness studios our CEO & co-founder, Serene, was an active member in spin, boxing and HIIT classes. After countless experiences first-hand with different booking solutions, she felt that there were gaps that could be easily addressed.
Community is integral to a studio’s success, and Serene recognised its potential. A studio with a strong sense of community has the ability to motivate members and keep them coming back for more.
“Having made new friends in the studios I visited, I thought it would be great to have a booking app that could enable connection and building friendships within the studio.”
Speaking to her friends and early-stage fitness entrepreneurs, many shared that the admin work was starting to consume their day, leaving them little time for what they enjoyed most. Sympathising with them, she was inspired to find a way to elevate the lives of these fitness entrepreneurs and improve the overall client booking experience as well.
“Casually, I interviewed friends in the scene – instructors and owners of a few fitness studios (WeBarre, Flywith Fitness, Garage, Elemit Yoga). I got the confidence when I realised incumbent solutions were not meeting the needs of these users.”
Dream to Reality
With that, in November 2020, vibefam was launched with boutique businesses in mind and Serene’s initial aim continues to be the company’s mission.
Focusing on what truly matters, the team designed a booking solution providing the essentials any boutique studio needs to successfully scale their business:

Putting their faith in us, vibefam’s first few partners were local studios – Fitfoo, The Daily Movement and Liv Outdoor, who trusted & believed in our mission. It is incredibly encouraging to see how much they have grown with vibefam since the very beginning.

Till today, we operate on the core values of providing exceptional service, prioritising community building and keeping things affordable for all studios worldwide. Now trusted by more than 30 studios across 4 APAC countries, vibefam has built a community of over 5000 active users. Supporting our partners every step of the way, we have helped studios generate exciting results and foster a community of like-minded fitness enthusiasts.
Over the last 2 years, we’ve met hundreds of fitness entrepreneurs across Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Vietnam. The industry has shown much resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through it all, the fitness industry has emerged stronger and we are seeing much more innovation blossom.
