Rent a Yoga Studio by the Hour in Singapore

How much is it to rent a yoga studio per hour in Singapore?

Chances are if you are reading this, you are a freelance yoga instructor exploring options for your yoga classes or a yoga instructor looking to open your own yoga studio. This blog will help breakdown the costs of doing so for you, as well as what factors you might want to consider when renting a yoga studio.

Cost on Get Spaces per hour

Get Spaces is a space sharing platform based in Singapore. They have both a website and a mobile application. They have many filters put in by date, price, capacity, type of space, amenities available and the nearest MRT station. As you can see in the picture below, it can start as low as $15 per hour! Of course this might not be suitable for everyone, these yoga spaces that are cheaper usually have a smaller capacity and might not have the best amenities. But of course for $15 an hour, you would not expect the best facility, but considering you do not have to deal with the administrative headaches and troubles with the rent and maintenance of the yoga studio, this is not a bad option at all.

Cost on Tag Venue per hour

Tag Venue is an event venue platform based in England. They also have a catalogue of yoga studious by the hour in Singapore as seen in the picture below. The general price range is higher than that of Get Spaces as the average yoga studio fee per hour on Tag venue is around that $70 range, but of course there are filters you can apply to find more affordable options.

Cost of renting from a yoga studio directly

Instead of looking for yoga studios on platforms, there are yoga studios that rent out their space by the hour. First up, we have Bliss Shala. The rates and details are as seen below. While the rates may be higher which may dissuade you from choosing to rent from a studio directly, there are definitely some benefits of doing so which may make it a better option than going on platforms to rent one by the hour. Since it is a professional studio there will be more amenities which can be helpful for your yoga lessons, such as the yoga mats provided and the changing room. Additionally, Bliss Shala are kind enough to market your event to their existing members so you have more potential clients, and they even reduce the price of the rental after the 1st hour, which is beneficial if you are having subsequent lessons.

Which you should choose

After looking at both options of using a platform and renting from a studio directly, we are now left with the question of which option to choose. Well, there is not actually a definitive answer, you might think this sounds lazy but it truly depends on your needs and priorities. If all you need is a small space for a short session, you might be better off finding one on either Get Spaces or Tag Venue. However if you have 2 or more back to back sessions, want a bigger and more luxurious space, you should probably rent directly from a yoga studio like Bliss Shala.

Hopefully after today, you are given a clearer idea into the cost of renting a yoga studio by the hour in Singapore and what options are available. But what if you are thinking more long term and want your own space? If that sounds interesting at all do stay tuned for next week’s blog.👀
