Even if you’re a beginner, I recommend taking an annual package, which gives you extra motivation to spam sessions throughout the year, which makes it the most cost efficient. I did this as a total beginner to even martial arts, as someone who used to be laughed at for having put on weight. it’s been 3 yrs since joining Naga, and my stubborn lousy body has lost 10-11kg steadily; I am now functioning in my IDEAL weight and ive been maintaining it for a few months. (I’m female). I’ve also seen overweight guys come in and in a couple of months lost around 20kg. as a beginner, don’t feel intimidated at all. you can just start with 1-2 sessions a week, and you’ll find that your newfound energy and strength will quickly motivate you to attending 3-4 sessions a week. Muay Thai is one of the safest martial arts to train because injury rate is low, and you can train safely under the good guidance of the coaches here. there are both group and private sessions here. in terms of what youre looking for in a Muay Thai gym, it provides a good environment for all. for people who want to train up for fights, the coaches are always monitoring you at your level, and are very keen and encouraging to, and know how to train you up in terms of mindset, stamina, technique, and lots of sparring with several partners. Naga does fights regularly with other gyms, and there’ve been people who train for fights who have stayed for a long time. for those who want to use Muay Thai training as your push to be accountable to work out for fitness, or even to train like a fighter but not fight, the gym’s group sessions, the coaches, and the people themselves form an encouraging environment. faces are very familiar, and their hard work in training almost everyday helps to make you more accountable to yourself. group sessions are structured; skipping, shadow boxing, rounds of padwork, bag work, cardio/strength/interval stuff. seasonally and weekly, techniques will be taught. you’ll have exposure to everything including sparring as well. at any time, you can choose to take your own training forward and let the coaches know, so you can be put in groups that are trained and pushed harder in endurance and sparring experience. there is a resident Thai coach handling the group sessions (with local trainers as well), and local trainers with a lot of real fight experience leading the programs for fighters. the gym is also the same as a Thai gym; no air con. all equipment there. no fluff and BS which is exactly my cup of tea. occasionally Naga brings in other Thai trainers who grew up fighting and training, so please come and ask them to spar with you. and if you don’t want to spar then they will still push you hard. haha

I have been a member of Naga MT Gym for more than 3 years. Overall I enjoy my experience here. Trainers are friendly, helpful, very supportive & professional. The gym is like a big family, we training together here always gain happy endings. Lessons are providing basic, medium and advance trainings which are suitable for all ages even while family. Definitely I’d recommend Naga to anyone who are looking for a friendly Muay Thai gym.

-THE PEOPLE- It's been almost 3 years since I started my Muay Thai journey. It all began with the whole idea of exposing myself to new sports and meeting new people. One of the greatest take away from NAGA is definitely its people. Met a bunch of like minded people who train hard at gym and we play hard outside of it. I must say such great energy stems from having a lady boss who puts her customers/students above all. Nina is approachable and a kind person. Being students at NAGA, one must have definitely tried her mango sticky rice on one occasion or another. Everyone is welcome here regardless of your level. Be open minded, dont be shy, and just enjoy. - THE COACHES- Methee is our lead coach from Thailand. A very patient and friendly person. Even though he does not give off a dominating aura like how we might imagine thai fighters do, I believe Methee's forte is his agility. Do not be fooled by his smile, as his quick limbs will get to before u can react/ counter. Andrew is our part time coach, I like that he is quite technical in his teaching. He observes how the students move and often share how to execute it correctly. Appreciate that he has a heart for sharing and passing down his knowledge. Maverick is our Fight Team lead coach who joined us not too long ago. I thought it was great that there is a separate coach who can lead the students who are truly invested in training for fights. I had a first hand experience 2 months ago training for a fight and I must say that the level of discipline and commitment is a whole new level from the usual training. The classes led by Maverick is quite organized and systematic, he devises a set of regime for the class to follow through. I like that he analyzes the various students' strengths and weaknesses and design something that works for them. Often looking at window of opportunities for his students to step into the ring, gaining more fight experiences. Rayven is our junior trainer whom I have seen him evolved from NAGA student to now, holding pads and training others. I think he is an exemplary that one's passion and discipline for Muay Thai will open doors to new experiences, challenges and even more fun than what you can ever imagine. -THE CLASSES- I will break it down as such: - Skipping is mandatory - Followed by shadow boxing - Cardio Muay Thai drills - Bag Work (freestyle, or techniques taught by coaches) - Pad Work with coaches - More drills (boxing/kicking/knee, etc) Some classes will have more strength and conditioning component, which cannot be undermined. What I enjoy most about training is seeing myself getting stronger and fitter each day. I think nothing can beat that feeling of being accountable to oneself, slowly building a version of yourself that you only once imagined it, but now you can feel it in you.
