Being an active person all my life, I needed a holistic approach to my fitness as I approached my mid fifties especially being injury free while achieving a high level of fitness and agility. Rebel gym has been a perfect fit for me. It has all the components of a well rounded fitness program : Agility, strength and conditioning (C&S) and HIIT. No two session, in all my time with Rebel gym since 2012, has been the same. As a bonus, I get to meet like minded people who as focused about fitness as the gym owner and lead coach Melvin Lim.

Gym has good facilities and great trainers. Community is welcoming to members of all levels, and helps each other to improve under the guidance of the coaches and senior students. Definitely a great place to pick up muay thai if you’re just starting out. Also a great place for experienced practitioners who want to try learning an unconventional and ambidextrous style which has been tested and effective across many students, who have achieved success in fights.

:) really good coaches, you can’t really find them in any other commercialized places. i am not a sports person at all (couch potato life) but attending boxing lessons here has made me develop a new goal to be the next UFC champion, and big biceps. nice. i also don’t see stars when i stand up too quickly as much as last time anymore!!! nice. occasionally, if you’re lucky, you will see one cat hiding somewhere.

Class size is not too big and the mat area has wall padding making the gym very conducive for training. The people training here are usually quite experienced so they tend to help guide us too. There is a lot of partner work and sparring here is very technical.

Have been training at rebel for some time now and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to try muay thai or boxing :) The coaches here are experienced and the community here is really friendly. I’ve enjoyed every training I’ve been to!

Since I started Muay Thai, I always wanted to find a gym that could teach me skills I can directly apply in sparring or fight situations. Rebel felt like a natural fit, offering an open-minded approach to fighting that improved my coordination, fight sense and techniques while teaching me to play to my strengths instead of shoehorning me into a specific fight style. The gym and equipment are clean, and the coaches truly care about my improvement. I also value the culture of safety in the gym, focusing on safe sparring that minimizes damage. Overall, a great gym that I really recommend.
