Studios usually look for a WellnessLiving alternative for one of four reasons: pricing that creeps above the published plans, an annual auto-renew contract, payment processing locked to Paragon and Nuvei, or migration promises that did not hold. WellnessLiving still has real strengths, including broad vertical coverage and a 4.4 out of 5 Capterra rating across 611 reviews. This guide compares five studio management software alternatives that yoga and Pilates studios, as well as barre, dance and martial arts studios, shortlist, using public pricing pages and verified reviews. Vibefam publishes this guide and is one of the five, so we say plainly where each option fits.
Why Do Studios Look for a WellnessLiving Alternative?
WellnessLiving's published plans run from $69 a month for Starter to $199 for Business and $349 for BusinessPro, per our WellnessLiving review, but operators report real bills of $200 to $500 or more once add-ons and processing are included. The most common complaints are not about features. They are about billing, contract structure and what happens when you try to leave.
On Capterra, one studio owner wrote in March 2026 that the contract you sign is not the contract that applies, because the binding terms sit in the terms of use on WellnessLiving's website. Another operator wrote in May 2026 that few of the items promised to transfer from her old software actually did. WellnessLiving also routes payments through Paragon and Nuvei, which matters if your studio already runs on Stripe. Our deeper comparison, WellnessLiving vs Mindbody, covers the corporate and contract picture.
How Do the Top 5 Alternatives Compare?
The table summarizes how the five alternatives differ on the points that trigger most WellnessLiving switches: price transparency, contract length, payment processing and fit. We compared public pricing pages and verified Capterra and G2 reviews in October 2026 and did not run hands-on trials, so confirm current quotes before you decide.
| Platform | Pricing | Contract | Payments | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vibefam | Published, from $89/mo | Month-to-month or 12-month annual | Stripe plus regional methods; no markup from Vibefam | Boutique studios wanting one platform for operations and marketing |
| Momence | Not published; reviewers report about $250 to $2,000+/mo | Cancellation friction reported | Stripe plus reported 1% surcharge | Studios that value its feature set and accept quote-based pricing |
| Glofox | "Starting at $99/mo"; tiers gated | Annual; renewal increases reported | Stripe plus platform surcharge | Mid-size studios wanting a polished member app |
| Arketa | Solo tiers $49 to $124/mo; studio tiers by demo | Not published | 3% Arketa fee plus Stripe | Instructors and studios selling video and digital content |
| Mariana Tek | Custom quote | Quote-based | Confirm in quote | Larger boutique brands and multi-location operators |

1. Vibefam: Best for Published Pricing and Support
In our observations supporting boutique studios across North America and APAC, the first questions studios raise when leaving a legacy platform are about renewal dates and what migrates, not features. Vibefam publishes its plans on the pricing page: Great Value from $89 a month, Most Popular from $189 and Professional from $239 on annual billing, with a 7-day free trial. Month-to-month plans carry no contract. Annual plans cost less per month and are a 12-month commitment, so choose based on how sure you are. Payments run on Stripe with regional methods, and Vibefam adds no per-transaction markup beyond processor fees.
Vibefam offers comprehensive software across operations and marketing: class scheduling with waitlists and spot maps, memberships, a branded mobile app (+$80 a month), email and SMS marketing automation, and the Vibe AI suite. It is built for boutique formats, with dedicated pages for yoga studios and Pilates studios. Every plan includes a dedicated Studio Success Manager. Vibefam holds 4.9 out of 5 on G2 and Capterra. Fast Migration is free and moves member records, contact details, packages and recurring memberships, though historical schedules and past transactions do not transfer. Book a demo to compare it against your current WellnessLiving bill.

2. Momence: Best for Feature Breadth if You Accept Quote-Based Pricing
Momence does not publish pricing tiers. Capterra reviewers disclose costs from about $250 a month for a small studio to $2,000 or more for a multi-format studio, per our Momence pricing analysis. Its Capterra value-for-money score is 3.8 out of 5.
The recurring review themes are continued billing after cancellation, per-signup application fees and a 1% surcharge on top of Stripe's rate. Momence is a fit if its feature set matters more to you than price transparency. If you are leaving WellnessLiving partly over billing surprises, get its fee schedule in writing first.
3. Glofox: Best for a Polished Member App
Glofox was founded in Dublin in 2014 and acquired by ABC Fitness Solutions in 2022. It holds 4.4 out of 5 on Capterra across 354 reviews and 4.5 out of 5 on G2, and advertises plans starting at $99 a month, with higher tiers gated, as covered in our Glofox pricing guide.
Expect annual contracts and a platform surcharge on top of payment processing. A G2 reviewer in December 2024 described a 70% price increase at renewal, so ask for renewal terms before signing. Glofox suits mid-size studios that want a user-friendly branded app and can plan around annual terms.
4. Arketa: Best for Studios Selling Digital Content
Arketa publishes solo-instructor plans at $49, $83 and $124 a month on annual billing, but studio tiers show only a demo button, according to our Arketa pricing breakdown. Its fee model adds a 3% Arketa fee on top of Stripe's standard rate for individual plans.
Arketa rates 4.3 out of 5 on Capterra, and its strongest workflow is on-demand video and digital offers. Some reviewers describe bugs affecting daily operations. It fits instructors and hybrid studios more than high-volume physical-class studios, and its help center documents strong waitlist automation for those who do run in-person classes.
5. Mariana Tek: Best for Larger Boutique Brands
Mariana Tek publishes no monthly price, and Capterra's $1 starting figure is a placeholder. Third-party estimates run from about $179 to $485 or more per location depending on the bundle, so treat any number as indicative until you hold a quote. Its penalty fee settings are among the most configurable in the category.
It is generally positioned at multi-location boutique brands with a team to manage configuration. Smaller single-location studios sometimes find they pay for depth they do not use, so test a full week of your real schedule in the demo.

What Should You Export Before Leaving WellnessLiving?
Before you cancel, read the cancellation terms in your account and in WellnessLiving's website terms of use, because annual plans auto-renew and cancellation needs 30 days' written notice per the contract terms documented in our WellnessLiving vs Mindbody comparison. Set a reminder at least 90 days before your renewal date.
In our observations supporting boutique studios across North America and APAC, the items that cause trouble in migrations are the ones studios assumed would move: past attendance, historical payments and active class schedules. Export member lists, active memberships, package balances and waiver records yourself first, keep the old account open until the new one has run a full billing cycle, and rebuild the weekly schedule fresh. Our guide on migrating without losing data walks through the sequence.
Which WellnessLiving Alternative Should You Choose?
Choose by the problem you are escaping. If it is price surprises, favor a vendor that publishes its plans and processing terms. If it is the contract, favor month-to-month terms or get renewal pricing in writing. If it is payments, check processor lock-in. If it is migration, ask exactly what moves and what does not. Whichever you pick, run the shortlist against a real week of your schedule and your last three months of billing.
